3rd Berserk Movie Release Date Announced

A poster for the upcoming third movie of the Berserk movie trilogy, “Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent”, has been unveiled recently. The new visual art reveals that the movie will see a January 2013 release, which is a delay from its initial schedule of later this year.

In addition to showing the pivotal eclipse that ushers in the feast of sacrifice, the poster also carries the tagline, “It is all a part of the flow of causality.”

Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent focuses around the final events of the Golden Age Arc. With the God Hand already awoken and to become one of them, Griffith must use the solar eclipse that only occurs once every 216 years, and sacrifice all of his friends.

Berserk Golden Age Arc is a series of movies: Berserk Golden Age Arc I: The Egg of the King, Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey, and Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent. The movie trilogy is Studio 4°C’s theatrical adaptation of Kentaro Miura’s Berserk manga. The first two movies were released in Japan in February and June 2012 respectively.
